Your secondary school year introduces students to the various combined strands of Technology - over the year you will rotate through short courses which give you a ‘taste’ of what we have to offer.


Year 10 Technology

  • Digital Technology

  • Food Technology

  • Fashion - Design and Production Technology

  • Wood (hard materials) Technology

  • Design and Product Development (DPD) and Multi Materials Technology

Our courses run for the whole year and give students the opportunity to test themselves against the requirements of the chosen topics – lots of ‘hands on projects’ to be involved in.


Year 11 Technology - NCEA Level 1

  • Catering (1CAT)

  • Digital Technology (1DGT)

  • Design and Product Development (1DPD)

  • Fashion (1FAS)

  • Metal Technology (1MET)

NCEA brings new challenges and the Technology subjects on offer give students the opportunity to mix written and practical skills together. This busy year forms the basis of career pathways to explore.
